The Northern Berkshire Solid Waste Management District will hold its annual Household Hazardous Waste collection for its 14 member towns from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at the Department of Public Works, 6 Main St.

Households may dispose of up to 25 gallons at no charge.

Guidelines and a list of accepted and unaccepted items are available at nbswmd.com/special-events. Space is limited and registration is required from April 1–14, or until capacity is reached, when a waitlist will be created. Registration hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The event will also collect electronic items for recycling, including laptops and other computer-related items, for $5 each, with proceeds benefiting the Town of Cheshire food pantry.
